Douglas County, Kansas is seeking proposals from interested architect/engineering firms for professional services for review and update of the existing County masterplan document completed in 2020 and then following masterplan updating, implementation of County accepted work at the existing Judicial and Law Enforcement Center (JLE). The existing structure is located at 111 East 11th Street in Lawrence Kansas. The building remodel and any proposed additions will need to be phased in efforts to limit interruptions in public and judiciary services while minimizing interruptions to staff and building operations. It is Douglas County’s intention to acquire a dependable Design Professional with a firmly established base of operations who can offer expertise in working on remodel projects specifically of the judicial and institutional types, at a competitive rate for a very high quality level of service.
